Wow. More than two months without a single blog. That is one of my worst streaks ever.

I have a good excuse, though. Actually several good excuses...

First, we moved. Packing up our townhouse took freaking forever, and I can't recall the last time I felt so overwhelmed or tired. This is, of course, on top of excuses #2 and #3 - balancing a full-time job with part-time mom all at the same time. There were definitely days where I would come home from work, take one look at all the boxes and unfinished business around the house, and then simply throw myself on the floor to let Keira climb all over me because I was just too exhausted to do anything else.

Second...oops, I mean fourth, we're in the midst of senior season again. That's right - my favorite and most hectic time of year when all of our seniors are swept up in the mad rush to finish their college applications. My hours have shifted during the week until 8pm, and I've also worked most Saturdays every month. Again, truth be told, getting home at 8:30 at night with e-mails to read and essays to revise from home is not really conducive to much activity other than vegetating.

Fifth, I turned 30. Actually, that's not an excuse or anything. I just wanted to put it out there that I'm not a 20-something anymore!

Sixth and finally...we're expecting! That's right - I am 11 weeks pregnant and very excited to add another member to our happy Lin family. (I tried to save the best for last.) So far, things have been great, but the timing of my first trimester and the overpowering fatigue that goes with it has not been the best. I've barely been able to keep my eyes open, sneaking little naps in my car, at my desk, on the sofa...and basically anyplace I can snooze for a moment without seeming like a total nut.

Thankfully, we're finally settling into our new place, I'm approaching the start of my second trimester, which will hopefully include a boost of renewed energy, and I'm trying to get life back on track. I know I'm behind on a lot of pictures, both of Keira and of the house. My goal is to get those up and running by the end of the month. Uh...although I guess there are only nine more days to September...so let's say mid-October, ok? I promise!
