Remember my cell phone/eBay saga? Anyway, I sold my old cell phone on eBay for a whopping $54. I can't even begin to tell you how delighted I was. My first sale ever!!! Before this, I'd always been strictly a buyer. Selling seemed so complicated and frightening, and I avoided it like the plague for about three years. I couldn't bear the thought of putting myself out there for others to judge. What if no one placed a bid? What if I didn't ship my stuff fast enough? What if (gasp) I got a negative comment?!

The need to buy a new phone, however, drove me to desperate measures, forcing me to take the plunge and post my first item for bidding. Much to my neurotic surprise, it worked! Someone actually bought something from me and was willing to pay a pretty decent price. Now that I've finally overcome my fears (and garnered a praise comment in the process!!!), I suddenly find myself rummaging through everything in our house, driven by a mad desire to sell, sell, sell.

I've also spent a lot of time checking out what other people are selling, to see how far I can push the envelope. Apparently, I can push it pretty far. My favorite category is eBay's Weird Stuff. They've even got it broken down into three subcategories of Slightly Unusual, Really Weird, and Totally Bizarre. Very, very strange.

I'm just filled with glee. The sky's the limit!
